The top of the lens is the darkest section because this is where you naturally look when following the ball into the sky.
It helps control bright overhead light and glare while improving contrast between the golf ball and its background.
That matters because a white ball can quickly disappear against bright skies, cloud, tree lines or changing light.
The goal is straightforward: help you keep visual contact with the ball for longer and make it easier to see where it finishes.
Middle Zone — Green Reading
The middle of the lens is designed to help with one of the most visually demanding parts of golf: reading the green.
It enhances contrast to help make subtle slopes, contours and undulations on and around the green easier to distinguish.
It doesn’t magically tell you how a putt will break. What it does is help bring out the visual cues already there, making changes in the surface easier for your eyes to pick up.
That gives you more useful information when judging a putt or assessing the area around the green.
Bottom Zone — Clearer at Address
The lower part of the lens is lighter because this is where you’re looking when standing over the ball.
At address, you don’t need the same level of glare control you need when looking into the sky. You need a clear, natural view of the ball, club and turf.
The lighter lower zone helps preserve detail and minimise visual distraction at the point where precision matters most.

It is also non-polarized by design, helping preserve the depth perception and visual information golfers rely on when judging distance, reading terrain and selecting targets.
